Château Batailley was acquired in 1924 by the Borie brothers, co-managers at that time of Maison Borie-Manoux.

With its 60 hectares planted on deep old Günz gravel soils, silica and sand, the Château Batailley vineyard highlights the typical grape varieties of the Pauillac appellation: merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and Petit verdot.
