“Why am I a winemaker?” Dominik Ernst explains. “I find it fascinating to shape a product throughout its entire creation and ultimately stand behind what you’ve worked towards for a year.” His clear and honest approach is evident in Dominik Ernst’s wines and also earned him the title of Young Winemaker of the Year 2022. His winery is only in its second generation. It was his father who first established Wittlingen in the Kandertal valley as a wine-growing village.
Now the Ernsts’ vines are slowly reaching their prime, and it will be exciting to see where their journey takes them next.
