Ostrožovič is a distinguished family-owned winery located in the heart of the Slovak Tokaj wine region. Established in 1990 by Jarka and Jaro Ostrožovič, it stands as one of the pioneers in Slovak Tokaj winemaking.
The winery cultivates over 58 hectares of vineyards, focusing on traditional Tokaj grape varieties such as Furmint, Lipovina, and Yellow Muscat. These vineyards are managed using integrated production methods that are environmentally friendly.
Ostrožovič has been instrumental in introducing solo-produced wines from Tokaj varieties to the Slovak market. In 1993, they were the first to offer wines made exclusively from Furmint, Lipovina, and Yellow Muscat using reductive technology. Their commitment to quality is evident, with three of their wines being recognized among the thousand best wines globally.
The winery's portfolio includes a range of award-winning wines. Notably, their Tokaj selection 5-puttonyos from the 2007 vintage has garnered several gold medals at international competitions, including the Bacchus Wine International Competition in Spain (2021) and the Danube Wine Challenge (2022).
