In a way, it's a bit like it used to be.

Maximilian Krebs and his wife Madeleine run the Krebs winery, now in its sixth generation. They continue to develop it with fresh ideas and a careful awareness of their history and origins in the southern Markgräflerland region. When talking about their wines, they first reach for Gutedel (Chasselas), but they also have spontaneously fermented, barrel-aged, and unfiltered versions on hand. Because, in turn, they make their best wines "a bit like they used to."
