  • Founded in 2004 by Rami and Bettina Na'aman, Na'aman Winery marks a journey from the bustling life of Ramat Hasharon to the serene landscapes of Ramot Naftali in the Upper Galilee. The couple's move in 2001 was the first step in creating a unique blend of lifestyle and passion. Their compound, a harmonious blend of ancient Galilee stone, houses not only their residence but also Bettina's art studio and the heart of their venture, Na’aman Winery. This boutique winery, nestled in an underground cave-like structure with walls adorned in rough plaster and stone, encapsulates the intimate journey of winemaking.

From the inaugural harvest in 2004, Na’aman Winery has meticulously expanded its production to 10,000 bottles annually, a testament to its growing legacy.

    The Winemaker - Rami Na'aman

Rami, with a multifaceted career as a film director, scriptwriter, and high-tech manager, found his true calling in the art of winemaking. His academic journey in enology at the Soreq Winery and qualification as a Cellar Master from Tel Hai College underpins his dedication. Rami's philosophy is deeply rooted in bringing out the distinct flavors of the Ramot Naftali Terroir. He is a firm believer in the synergy of Bordeaux varieties and Ramot Naftali's exceptional climatic conditions, aspiring to craft exclusive wines that leave an indelible mark on the Israeli wine scene. His hands-on approach in every winemaking stage reflects his commitment to producing wines with a personal touch.

    The Vineyard

Adjacent to their home, Rami embarked on a viticultural journey by planting Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot in 2001. The vineyard's growth continued with the addition of a Bordeaux blend on a 12-dunam plot on the slopes of Mt. Yachmor, an area known for its unparalleled terroir in Israel for red grapes. Situated approximately 420 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from the perfect blend of light winds, cool night temperatures, and morning sunshine, while being shielded from the intense midday heat.

    Personal Touch

Rami's hands-on approach ensures that the winemaking process preserves its natural integrity. From the vine to the bottle, each step is carried out with precision and care, involving family and a dedicated group of volunteers. This meticulous attention to detail is what defines the essence of Na'aman Winery.

    The Netto Wine Seal

In his commitment to sustainable and conscientious winemaking, Rami has collaborated with fellow Israeli winemakers to establish the Netto Wine treaty. This initiative reflects a dedication to quality, sustainability, and mindfulness in winemaking. Learn more about the Netto Wine seal and its significance.
