The view from the hamlet of Schlipf is fantastic: it stretches across Basel and far into Alsace. The location, where the Schneider family has cultivated wine for centuries, already has an international outlook. And the wines themselves reflect this even more. Johannes and Christoph Schneider, who have managed the family estate since 2015, cultivate lean and elegant Pinot Noirs that easily stand comparison with Burgundy. And even the Gutedel (Chasselas) is given a stage here, with maceration and extended lees aging, allowing it to fully develop its potential.
