Kangun emerged during the Soviet era with a specific purpose: the production of brandy. This grape variety is the result of a unique parentage involving three different grapes. Initially, it was bred through a cross of the Ukrainian grape Sukholimansky Bely and the Georgian grape Rkatsiteli. Subsequently, this hybrid was further crossed with Chardonnay. Thriving in the Armenian terroir, Kangun found its place not only in brandy production but also in the crafting of white and sparkling wines. Anticipate a light straw hue, abundant freshness, and nuanced notes of honey, wildflower, and quince.
